The growth of the Grimsholm Green product sales has increased by 42% H1 2020 compared with the same period last year.
– From March-April we did see negative effects on the end consumer sales reported by our distributors and retailers on southern European markets like Spain, Italy, and France because of pandemic lockdowns in those countries. Also, the pandemic situation did bring a wet blanket on our key account sales activities as many of the European chain purchase departments was not taking any kind of decision regarding new suppliers and new products during that period, says Denniz Gustafsson, CEO of Grimsholm Products AB.
Overall the pandemic situation has effected the garden accessories and home improvement industry much less than others. From the end of May and forward the company has seen that the sales have returned back not only in the countries with earlier lockdowns but also the sales in the Scandinavian market has grown even more and retail chains are reporting growth with more than 50% for the Grimsholm Green products compared to last year.
– At the beginning of the pandemic period, we did some precautions and kept part of our staff home, did set up rules for keeping the rest of the staff away from COVID-19, like many other companies. But due to the positive return of sales, all our staff is back to 100% since July and we are now, a little late though, preparing for the biggest product group launches ever for the company, Denniz Gustafsson continues.
